WotUGot is a UK community marketplace for swapping, selling, finding and giving away items directly with other members. You can create Swap, Sale, Swap / Sale, Seek or Shift posts, talk privately, make offers and use the tracked exchange tools where they apply.
WotUGot provides the platform — members make the deal.
We provide listings, profiles, messaging, tracked exchange stages, Stories, ratings, community tools and moderation. Members decide what they are willing to swap, sell, buy or give away, whether an item is suitable, how payment will be made and how collection or delivery will take place.

Create a listing and tell people what you want.
Add useful details
Add photographs, condition, description and the relevant money information. Swap posts can show item value and a sell-for figure; Sale posts clearly show the asking figure.
Find and message people
Browse Swaps, Sales, Seek and Shift posts, check member profiles and feedback, then use private messages to ask questions before agreeing anything.
Agree the deal
A deal may be a swap, a cash purchase, a mixed swap-and-cash arrangement or a free Shift handover. Payment and physical delivery or collection are arranged directly between members.
THE CORE SYSTEM
Swap & Sale: the 4-stage tracked deal.
Tracked deals apply to Swap, Sale and Swap / Sale listings. Shift and Seek posts use direct Messages instead: a Shift collector messages the owner to arrange collection, and a Seek responder messages the poster to say what they have. Shift owners mark the post collected after the real handover, which is what counts towards Top Shifter.
Make or receive an offer
The interested member sends an offer. The listing owner reviews it and can accept or decline it.
Unanswered offers normally expire after 3 days.The deal is agreed
When the owner accepts, the listing is reserved and the other pending offers on that listing are closed.
Both members are then expected to progress their side of the exchange.Both sides update progress
For swaps, members record sending or handing over items and confirm receipt. For sales, the buyer records payment sent and the seller records the item sent or handed over; each then confirms their side has been received.
Current target: send within 5 days and confirm receipt within 7 days.Close the deal properly
Once both members confirm receipt, the deal is completed automatically. Members can then rate each other and leave relevant item feedback.
Completed tracked deals become part of each member's visible history.
Accepted swaps should not be left hanging.
The tracker is there to stop dead listings and abandoned accepted deals building up. If a member repeatedly accepts swaps and then fails to progress their required status, the associated listing can be removed and repeated failures can lead to temporary or permanent account restrictions.

How listing boosts work.
A boost moves an active Swap, Sale, Seek or Shift listing back up the relevant site feed for a limited visibility period, so it can be seen again without creating a duplicate post.
Welcome boost
New members receive 1 free welcome boost to try the system.
Subscriber boosts
Active subscribers receive up to 10 listing boosts each month.
Paid boost packs
Members can also buy boost packs. Unused credits stay on the account until used. Once a credit is applied, that listing stays boosted for 72 hours, then returns to normal ordering.
Boost duration
Each applied boost lasts 72 hours. The same listing can normally only be boosted again after 2 hours.

10 boosts — £5.00
50 boosts — £15.00
100 boosts — £25.00
A boost increases visibility; it does not endorse a listing, guarantee an offer or guarantee that an exchange will complete.
MONTHLY REWARDS
Top Swapper, Seller, Shifter, Seeker and Booster.
Completed tracked swaps count for Top Swapper, completed cash or mixed sales for Top Seller, Shift posts marked collected count for Top Shifter, Seek posts marked found count for Top Seeker, and listing boosts actually used count for Top Booster. Boards restart on the 1st. Current winner rewards are 3, 3, 3, 3 and 3 boosts respectively. Only genuine activity counts.
STORIES
Share short community videos.
Members can upload Stories of up to 30 seconds. New Stories stay private until they pass site review.
Short videos
Stories are capped at 30 seconds and can be paused, muted, liked, reacted to and shared.
Reviewed first
A Story does not appear in the public galleries until it has passed site review.

The current free-account Story allowance resets each calendar month.

The current subscriber Story allowance resets each calendar month.
LIVE COMMUNITY CHAT
Chat live with other members.
Alongside private listing messages, WotUGot has live community chat rooms where members can talk in real time, ask questions, discuss swaps, sales, Seek and Shift posts, and meet other members.
Live chat is separate from private deal messages and follows the Community rules. Members can report problems for moderator review.

REPUTATION
Profiles and feedback matter.
Member ratings
Completed tracked exchanges unlock member-to-member ratings so people can build a visible record over time.
Item ratings
Members can separately rate the item they received, helping distinguish the quality of the item from the conduct of the member.
Monthly activity
Completed swaps contribute to Top Swapper, completed free Shift handovers count towards Top Shifter, and boosts actually used on listings count towards Top Booster. Each board resets monthly.
Reports & moderation
Members can report listings or users. Moderators and administrators can remove posts and restrict accounts when rules are breached.
What WotUGot does

What WotUGot does not do
- We do not inspect or approve items before they are listed.
- We do not verify every statement, photograph, identity or claim made by members.
- We do not act as an agent, broker, escrow service, delivery company, insurer or guarantor.
- We do not decide whether a swap, purchase, sale, cash offer or mixed offer is suitable for you.
- We do not guarantee that a boosted listing will receive an offer.
- We do not take responsibility for arrangements made away from the site or for the conduct of another member.
