Strictly necessary storage
Essential session cookies are used to keep you signed in, protect forms against misuse, maintain security and provide functions you explicitly request. These are required for the service to work and are not switched off by the optional-cookie control.
Preferences
The site may use browser storage to remember choices such as text size, appearance and your cookie preference. Some preferences may instead be saved against your account.
Optional analytics
After you choose Allow optional, WotUGot may record coarse usage statistics such as page name, hour, broad device/browser type, signed-in or signed-out state, page interactions and WotUGot ad-slot impressions. Session identifiers used for detailed analytics are temporary and are not intended to identify you by name.
If you choose Essential only, WotUGot does not start its own optional analytics for that browser.
Google AdSense
On ad-supported pages, WotUGot may load the Google AdSense base code so Google can provide advertising and its consent-management functions. Google and participating advertising technology providers may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies for ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement and, where permitted, personalisation subject to the consent choices required for the visitor.
For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, WotUGot uses Google's certified consent-management platform for Google advertising. That Google consent mechanism is separate from WotUGot's own Cookie settings control.
Your choices
Essential only keeps WotUGot's own optional analytics off. Allow optional permits WotUGot's optional analytics. Google advertising consent is managed through Google's separate consent message where required. You can reopen WotUGot Cookie settings from the footer and change the WotUGot analytics choice. A change applies to future use; it cannot erase information already lawfully processed.
You can also clear cookies and browser storage in your browser. Blocking essential session cookies may prevent sign-in, secure forms or other account functions from working.
